World's largest Easter egg with 30,000 daffodils
From 5 to 10 April 2023, florist Paul Fleischli transformed the Wasserkirche Zurich into Easter light.
With a height of 3.5 metres, a diameter of 2.2 metres and a circumference of 6.9 metres, Paul Fleischli presented an oversized Easter egg made of 30,000 yellow daffodils.
In 1996, the florist had already impressed the public in Olten with a somewhat smaller one made of 16,000 daffodils. This work even earned him an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
During Easter week, Fleischli would like to break his former record in the Wasserkirche. In one day, together with many helpers from the industry, he placed thousands more daffodils than in 1996 on a surface of 21.5 m².
